Conley,Robert C. age 86 of Englewood passed away August 6,2010. He was born in Salyersville,Kentucky to Clifton & Rosie (Penix) Conley and celebrated his birthday of January 7,1924. Robert was an active outdoorsman who loved to hunt,fish and play cards.He served in the United States Navy and then worked for NCR for many years.He is survived by his sister Helen Truax-Brookville and brother Joe Conley-Lewisburg, 2 sons Eddie (Ramona) Conley-Ludlow Falls,Dannie (Tammy) Conley-West Milton,daughter Betty (Rob) Gessner-Miamisburg. He was proud of his 3 grandsons Cody,Jackson & Chase Conley. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers Raymond,Clayton,Arnold,James,Paul & Mark. Lightner,Byron E., age 88 of troy passed away peacfully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 30, 2010. He was born on September 30, 1921 in Phillipsburg, Ohio to the late Andrew and Edith (Meyer) Lightner. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Eva 9Neely) Lightner. Three children, Gary Lightner and his wife Ricky of troy,Ohio, Linda Coyle and her husband Mike of Berea,Kentucky, and Sharon Blackmore and her husband Larry of troy,Ohio, eight grandchildren,Justin Lightner of knoxville,TN,Jessica Lightner of Charlotte,NC, Jordan Lightner of Huber Heights,Toby Coyle, and Alicia Kelley of Berea,Kentucky,Amanda Coyle of Lexington,Meridith Blackmore Griga of Cincinnati and Jared Blackmore of Troy, three great-granddaughters Sidney Lightner, and Madison and Emma Kelley and sister Farrell Lightner of Phillipsburg. In addiston to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Floyd Lightner, and sisters Goldie Lightner and Lova Pfeiffer. He was a member of the Troy Church of the Brethren.He proudly served his country during WW II as an airplane mechanic and retired from NCR after working there 30 years. Byron was an avid sports enthusiast who attended as many of his children's & grandchildren's sporting events as he possibly could. He was a loving husband,father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all of us. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Connie Lee (Horn) Post; son, Richard Allyn Post-Maine; daughter and son-in-law, Theresa Carolyn (Post) and Kevin James McGlinch-Texas; grandchildren, Michelle Lee Post, Amanda Lynn Post, Madison Paige McGlinch, Paxton Grace McGlinch; and great-granddaughter Kaeyln Post. Hayes, Scott K, age 64 of Pleasant Hill, passed away peacefully Friday, July 16, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents Edgar B. and Celia R. He is survived by his wife Caryl (Kettering); his brother Edgar B. Hayes Jr. of Colorado, Shirley Lankford of Trotwood, Ohio, sons Matthew D. (Erin) of New Paris, Brent S. (Shannon) of Williamsburg, Virginia, Micah D. (Julia) Getter of Tampa, Florida, and daughter Rachel M. (Brian) Birt of Perrysburg, Ohio. Scott’s grandchildren are Morgan, Mikayla, Brayden, Wyatt, Cassidy and Zackary. He worked for many years as a carpenter for NCR and Sinclair Community College. His interests included woodworking, photography, ceramics, stained glass, gardening and music. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
